New! ADHD Assessments

Creative Coping now provides affordable ADHD assessments for children and youth ages 6-18. This type of assessment is ideal for families who do not need a lengthy neuropsychological evaluation, and who are simply looking to evaluate for ADHD.

Determining the presence or absence of ADHD can be a game-changer for families. It can lead to increased compassion and support, more effective strategies and treatment approaches, and better communication between kids, parents, and providers.

Did you know?

Many ADHD symptoms "fly under the radar" of detection. When a child or teen gets good grades, doesn’t act disruptive in the classroom, or otherwise doesn’t fit the stereotype of ADHD, it’s easy to overlook the ways in which they might be struggling. Here are some common, but lesser-known, symptoms associated with ADHD:

  • Emotional dysregulation, including intense mood swings, tantrums, and/or difficulty managing frustration

  • Time blindness, or not being aware of time passing

  • Hypersensitivity to emotional and physical stimuli

  • Hyperfocus (intense focus on a specific activity)

  • Memory problems and a tendency to lose items

  • Issues with motivation and follow-through

  • Extreme sensitivity to rejection (real or perceived)

At Creative Coping, we know from experience that the best way to support your child or teen is to first learn how their brain works. Understanding how they are “wired” leads to more effective  strategies, better outcomes in therapy, and crucially, more understanding and self-compassion for both kids and their parents. Don't wait any longer - schedule your low-cost ADHD assessment today.
